Blog Entry 47 of 75 Jean Sanders: Fine Art Daily - Painting Challenge

Every day, after eight or so hours at my day job, I will ignore my Best Beloved and the children (the Pouting Princess and Tall Boy) and I will go into my studio and will paint a small piece which I will then post for sale. All the paintings will be priced at $50.00 - a veritable bargain for original fine art that is matted and highly suitable for framing and prominent placement on your wall. Stop by daily to see the new work! Early in 2007 a wizard friend will be designing a website for me that will make it so much easier for you to see the new art. Here is a new, fab place for plants, flowers, pots and inspiration: Pinder's Nursery on Martin Highway in Palm City. I was reluctant to drive to deepest darkest Palm City, but Daria said it was wonderful and she was right. As ever. Be prepared for an interesting floral series. But I couldn't lead into Halloween without a little seasonal art.

Saw Meg and Lisa today, and we were missing the old days of carving pumpkins together with the young 'uns. The oldest young 'un now is the Pouting Princess who is 16. And she still wonders why were are not going over to Lisa's to carve pumpkins with the little ones - the youngest now is 10. Big mind re-set going on.

Nice pumpkin, but of all the special days of the year, this is the one that we can do without. Guess it's a sign of the passing years, but "celebrating" a day that is meant to recember the dead, is not our cup of tea no matter how colorful the pumpkin-related displays.
