Happy Columbus Day!
Best Beloved and I traveled north on Saturday, up to Jacksonville, to visit the Pouting Princess. We had hoped that moving even that distance (about 250 miles) from the Equator would mean cooler temperatures. How silly and misguided we were! It was still blazing hot up there.
But we had a nice visit with the Princess, bolstered the economy, shared a few tasty meals and had a pleasant change of scenery. This is a view of the Intracoastal Waterway. I love the low country panoramas.
