Plein Air and Studio art work of the sea,land and flowers. I am an oil painter and teacher in the Stuart and Hobe Sound areas. Painting with the Treasure Coast Plein Air group. The work you will see are completed paintings in oil on canvas, and canvas board.Some of the Paintings are created with palette knife and brush.

Celine Newell is Artist of the Month at Hobe Sound Fine Arts League Gallery in Hobe Sound.
She is a third generation porcelain painter and ceramic artist who specializes in hand-painted porcelain tiles, porcelain doll making, and antique porcelain restoration. Celine's work will be on display until November 13. Stop by the Gallery between the hours of 10am and 4pm on Monday, 1 - 4pm on Tuesday and 1-4 pm on Wednesday.
Celine teaches a watercolor class at the Gallery on Monday 9 - 12noon, you are welcome to meet Celine and see these wonderful ceramic tiles. It's like looking at the finest china from England or any where around the world.

Celine will hold a workshop, "Painting on tiles" in January, 2010.
She will teach you the proper use of all materials for the art of "overglaze decoration". This 2-day workshop will have one day each week from 9 - 3pm so that the tiles can be fired in between each step. This workshop will be held at the Hobe Sound Fine Arts League in the Marketplace Plaza in Hobe Sound, January 8 and 15, 2010.
