Imaginations Can......At the Elliott MuseumImaginations can.....take us places never dreamed. Encourage us to create. Help shape who we become. And that will be clearly seen at the Elliott Museum's upcoming exhibition, "Imaginations Can...." The museum will use dozens of celebrity signed children's books as the centerpiece of a whimsical and thought provoking display opening to the public on Friday, November 6 th.
The extraordinary collection of books, cherished by a variety of famous and influential people, will be displayed amid historical memorabilia and treasures from the Elliott Museum collection. Among the multitude of celebrities providing their favorite childhood book are Sean Connery, Oprah Winfrey, Jay Leno, Jimmy Buffet, Katie Couric, Jane Goodall, Steve Martin, Tiger Woods and President Barack Obama.
"Imaginations Can..." will be at the Elliott Museum from November 6 th through the 29 th. This exhibition will strike a chord with book lovers of all ages. It also provides collectors an opportunity to see the books that are available through "The Little Auction That Could" benefitting Hibiscus House. Silent, online bidding for these one-of-a-kind collectible books will be open to the public. The top 10 most sought after signed books will be unveiled and auctioned live by Elliott Paul at the Lyric Theater in downtown Stuart from 7:30 to 9:00 PM on Friday, November 20 th.
Throughout the month, the Elliott Museum will also host a number of programming activities for families and children of all ages. New programs are being added all the time. Check the Elliott Museum's "Calendar of Events" on its website at
