Florida's native grasses and aquatic plants

What:	Angela Patchunka, Elroy Timmer and Todd Olson of Martin County Farms will bring native grasses and aquatic plants to the meeting and discuss planting techniques, location, watering and use in native plant landscapes. The plants will be part of the raffle after the presentation. If you have plants or weeds that you would like identified, bring them to the meeting and our experts will help you out. On Saturday, Nov. 7 from 9-11am there will be a field trip to Martin County Farms off Leighton Farms Road in Palm City. The field trip will include demonstrations of potting and making cuttings from large grass specimens. Come prepared for hands-on activities and some walking. There will also be a presentation on the Weed Science Research Station at the site. Plants will be available on the field trip at the nursery. Carpooling and directions will be available at the Tuesday Nov. 3rdmeeting.
Where:	Environmental Studies Center, 2900 Indian River Drive (jusr south of Jensen Beach Blvd and Ocean Breeze Park).
