Shred Day A Success With All Points
Contributed by: Dawn Connelly on 10/28/2009

Did you know that identity theft is America's fastest growing crime?

All Points Mobile Shredding hosted a free community shred day Saturday October 24, 2009 at Riverside National Bank in Stuart. Members of the community brought boxes of sensitive documents that were shredded on-site in All Points' mobile shredding truck. All paper was recycled. Donations were accepted and went to Florida Oceanographic Society. The event took place to increase awareness about identity theft and federal laws that require proper disposal of sensitive documents.

"The event was a huge success and we are looking forward to another one with the National Association of Professional Organizers in January and one with the Love Doctors in February," said Brian Connelly, President and owner of All Points Mobile Shredding.

On November 1, 2009, the Red Flag Rule (amendment to FACTA) will go into effect. The Rule requires every organization "that holds any consumer account, or other account for which there is a reasonably foreseeable risk of identity theft" to develop "reasonable policies and procedures for detecting, preventing, and mitigating identity theft." According to the FTC, the Rule will apply to an estimated 11 million organizations.

All Points Mobile Shredding provides on-site and off-site shredding services to help individuals and businesses comply with laws and avoid becoming a victim of identity theft. For more information please call 772-283-4145 or visit http://www.shredwithme.com
