On October 17, Peggy Mead-Finizio, Director of Operations for Florida Arts & Dance Company will host workshops at the Florida Dance Education Organization's annual conference at Florida Atlantic University in Boca Raton.

This event titled "Defining Dance Education" will be attended by dance educators throughout the state. Peggy will be presenting to Florida teachers on how to use dance to engage students to absorb typical curriculum. Additionally, she will educate dance teachers on how to use movement appropriately for different age groups.

Peggy has twenty years of dance experience and a Master of Fine Arts in Choreography from University of Iowa. "I am excited to be hosting these workshops at this conference because dance can play a vital role in the lives of children" said Ms. Mead-Finizio.

Peggy is an early childhood movement expert. She has been with FADC since August. "Peggy is creating an entire early childhood program for children ages infant to three. This program will help children develop physically, emotionally, socially, and cognitively. No one in town is providing these basic building blocks. We are thrilled to have an instructor with such experience and knowledge", says Andrea Berry, Executive Director.

Florida Arts & Dance Company is a 501c3 Non-For-Profit in Martin County whose mission is to provide dance education to all regardless of age, ability or financial status. Also to provide cultural performance experiences to our students and our community.
