March 21, 2009 brought together people seeking information on debt management, budgeting, spending to get value for their money and people well versed in these topics to help locals survive in this difficult ecomomic time.
The Martin County Fairgrounds was the scene of this event and representatives
from local Banks, Realtors, Habitat for Humanity, Martin County government,
University of Florida, Consumer Credit Counseling, and Indiantown Non-profit
Housing, presented free, half hour talks on these subjects. As a bonus, the
entire lecture series was filmed by MCTV Channel 20 and will be presented at a later date.
A Personal Budgeting Kit can be found at
http://martin.ifas.ufl.edu/index.shtml
and photos from the event can be also be seen at
http://martin.ifas.ufl.edu/Moneyene.shtml
.
If you missed the event, be sure to catch it on MCTV 20.
