John Carroll High School Hosts Successful 5K Run/Walk for more thank 250 participants!
John Carroll High School was proud to host its first 5K (3.1 mile) run/walk on Saturday, March 21 st! More than 250 enthusiastic runners and walkers braved the rainy weather to participate in the fun event. Each participant was treated to a delicious breakfast buffet featuring warm praline French toast, homemade casseroles, fruit platters, baked goods, a trendy tee shirt, and a packed goodie bag.
Congratulations to
Mark Swart of Stuart who finished the course in 17 minutes, 49 seconds winning the Men's Overall Award. Tim Bishop of Vero Beach took second place and the Male Masters Award (age 40 and over) in 18:40. Brian Masters of Vero Beach won third place in 19:02. In the women's race, Tara McFarlane of Fort Pierce won the Overall title in 21:19. Second place was taken by Katherine Dove of Port St Lucie in 22:12. Third place winner was Talita Argenio from Fort Pierce in 22:34. Female Masters went to Jennifer Knowles of Toronto, Ontario, in 23:48.
