STUART, FL - Opera may never be the same, y'all! Join Billy Bob, Billy Joe and Billy Billie as they sing their way from their mobile music studio (showbiz talk for "trailer") all the way to Carnegie Hall.
In partnership with the Lyric Theatre, Molly's House will host a benefit performance of the "3 Red Neck Tenors" on Monday, January 5, 2009, at 8 p.m. at the Lyric Theatre. The fifty dollar ($50) benefit ticket includes the performance, plus a special "Coffee and Dessert" Meet and Greet by the 3 Redneck Tenors directly following the performance. Benefit VIP ticket holders will be treated to premium seats at the Lyrics 500 seat theatre.
The 3 Redneck Tenors first appeared at the Lyric in 2006, with audience members rightfully puzzled about what kind of a show this was: a comedy - or an operatic performance? This answer (to both) is yes. And perhaps even more. Think of it as Greater Tuna meets Das Barbecu.
The plot follows three mullet and bib overall-wearing cousins - - as they try to raise money by singing their way from their humble trailer (yes, there really is one on stage) all the way to Carnegie Hall. Along the way, they perform everything from opera (Puccini's Nessun Dorma) to pop ("YMCA") and don everything from ball gowns to Elvis costumes.
The laughs are plentiful, and so are the impressive vocal performances. "3 Redneck Tenors" may be a comedy, but the singing is seriously good. In real life, all three are classically trained opera singers. Their shows have been tremendously successful performing in over 100 cities nationwide. This is a great show for all ages, so bring the children and enjoy a family night out.
For an evening of fun and laughs while benefiting a Molly's House mission to "Keeping families together" during a medical crisis, call Molly's House today and reserve your seat or stop by the Lyric Theatre Box Office and mention you would like tickets for the 3 Redneck Tenors Benefit performance for Molly's House, Monday, January 5th at 8 p.m. Your $50 ticket donation is tax deductible.
Call Molly's House at 772.223.6659 to reserve your premium seat today.
