Free ice cream sundaes and ice cream cones were provided for over children and their familiesat an Ice Cream Social sponsored by the Men's Club of St. Luke's Episcopal Churchon July 26th in the church Parish Hall. Featured at the event were Kathy, the Rainbow Clown, who performed face painting, magic tricks, and balloon art for the children; also present wasThe Commander from
Cosmic City. The Commander is a giant robot who oversees the universal operations of this year's Vacation Bible School. There were games, music, and videos for the approximately one hundred attendees.
The event was held for pre-registration to St. Luke's Vacation Bible School,
David C. Cook's Blast-Off to Cosmic City, which is being held August 4th through August 8th, from 5:30 to 8:30 pm. A light supper will be provided beginning at 5:30pm andchildren will then tour
Cosmic City to learn the Awesome power and wonder of God. They will stop at a laboratory for science experiments, a craft store for artistic creations, a theater that tells the story of God's wonderful universe, a music theater to sing praises to our awesome God, and a chance toplay outside on God's beautiful planet Earth.
This year's Vacation Bible School at St. Luke's Episcopal Church is packed with music, activities, fun, and stories about our wonderful God. Children from ages 3 1/2 to 12 years are invited to attend this free event. Youth over age 12 years are welcome to participate as helpers
