Scrapbooking has gotten a bad wrap in the last few years. Many people look at the elaborate albums and admire them, but shake their heads and say "I could never do that." In ages past, scrapbooking was basically a collection of fond memories, stories, photos and memorabilia. It didn't have to be fancy or expensive to be meaningful and cherished. Today, the scrapbook industry has exploded. The options are endless. I agree - scrapbooking is not for everyone. But before you write this topic off your list, consider that memories ARE for everyone.
We all have photos, old and new, and the memories and stories attached to them. They remind us of our families and friends, our past and present, and most importantly, our stories. They are priceless! So why do most of us have those cherished memories and photos tucked away in a torn up shoebox or completely forgotten on a CD or computer file? I think the reason is because the prospect of doing something with our photos seems impossible. I am here to tell you it is possible. Many think it is too expensive or too creative. Simplicity can be very attractive and doesn't have to be costly. You may never make an album with EVERY picture that you have, but you can create meaningful memory albums and digital projects that you will cherish for a lifetime. It doesn't have to be elaborate, expensive or time consuming to do it either.
My mission is to help people create meaningful memory projects. I want them to tell their stories and record their memories. From organizing and labeling photos, to making memory albums and projects, I can help you too. It is possible! I challenge anyone who thinks that scrapbooking is not for them to relabel it. It is memory preservation! For more information, contact me at cmalana@bellsouth.net. I would love to help you enjoy your memories!
