2nd Annual Garden Festival
Contributed by: Treasure Coast UU Church on 10/18/2006

Join us at our Second Annual Garden Festival, if you enjoy Mother Nature's abundance of floral color, or if you have a yard that needs some new blooms after Florida's summer heat, or if you want to learn the difference between garding in South Florida and any other place in the country, or if you would like to learn about water gardening or container gardening, etc.

The Treasure Coast Unitarian Universalist Society will celebrate our green world with the Earthcare Workshops and Plant Sale on Saturday, October 28, from 8:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. on the church grounds at 21 SE Central Parkway in Stuart, FL. The garden festival is the delight of all Stuart green-thumbers, with many varieties of plants, garden art, and enlightening discussions with talented speakers. Vendors featuring lots of plants, including rare and unusual, will be here, as well as children's activities, baked goods, and lunch by Smoky's Barbecue. Speakers include Dr. Allyne, former director of Martin County Extensions Service, who will speak about Environmental Issues Impacting Florida Gardens; Ms. Louise White, from the Audubon Society, will talk about Attracting Birds and Butterflies in Your Garden. Free admission. For more information, please call (772) 283-2348 or (772) 219-1448.
