MARTIN COUNTY MASTER GARDENERS TO HOLD FALL PLANT SALE
COME ONE AND ALL!
On Saturday, November 4, from 9AM-Noon, Martin County Master Gardeners will hold their annual fall PLANT SALE. It will be at the Martin County Fairgrounds, 2614 SE Dixie Highway, Stuart. For information, call 288-5654.
Hundreds of Master Gardener-grown plants will be for sale at very low prices. These are plants that originated in their gardens and were propagated throughout the year. Buyers will find real bargins, with most of the plants priced $5-$10 for beautiful specimens.
"Plant Doctors" Bob Curran and Kerry-Shea Worton willl be available to answer any of your personal gardening questions. These Master Gardeners can diagnose problems as well as help you with plant identification questions.
There will be five garden-related educational tables. A chance at wonderful door prizes will be given to all who visit each of these tables. In addition to Fred Burkey, Multi-County Extension Agent, who will man the display "Florida Friendly Yards," the following Master Gardeners will share their knowledge:
"Orchids Made Easy" - DeDee Ratiner
"Carefree Florida Wildflowers" - Fran Shaw
"Attracting Wildlife to Your Yard" - Sandra Kruger
"Poisonous Plants in Your Landscaping" - Nicky Campbell and Nellie Wiggins
"Taste of the Tropics 2006" cookbooks containing 300 of the Martin County Master Gardeners' favorite recipes (from appetizers to desserts) will be on sale for $20, tax included.
Enjoy a continental breakfast! The Home and Community Edducators will be selling baked goods and beverages for a small fee.
