Florida Gardening Editor Shares Secrets

Wae Nelson, once again, visited Tropical Ranch Botanical Gardens and shared his Three Secrets to Florida Gardening. Nelson, and his wife, Kathy, Editor and Publisher of the Florida Gardening Magazine made their 2nd trip to TRBG in April and after the Lecture took time to answer dozens of questions from our loyal audience. As usual, the Nelsons provided a free copy of thier magazine so anyone who is not familiar with this publication can see what an important contribution it makes to gardeners in Florida as, here, we cannot grow most of the plants advised for us in other magazines.
A free Subscription was provided by TRBG to Christine Marie Hoehner and plants were awarded to Russell Weitzen and Russ Hahn.
May 17, at 10:00 am, University of Florida's Multi-County Agent, Fred Burkey and his trusty assistant, Pat Bonis will be on hand at TRBG to tell us how to conserve our rain water for future use. After the lecture, names will be taken of people who are interested in obtaining a rain barrel. Our June Blockbuster Plant Sale will be held on June 21 and 22, from 9 to 3 each day.
