MG Spotlight Strikes Deserving Gardener!

July 10, 2008 found Stuart resident, Karen M. Voisinet standing right in the way of the Martin County Master Gardener Spotlight Award. This award is given quarterly to the Master Gardener who inspires others withtheir dedication to the principals of the University of Florida's Master Gardener Program.

Voisinet has lived in Florida since 2003 when she found the Martin County Master Gardener Programand hadallher gardening questions answered. She now shares her information as a facilitator for the MG Shade House and Plant Sales. When not digging in the dirt, Voisinet works as a Librarian at the MG office on Dixie Highway in Stuart and as an archivist for the many MG events that take place during each year.

She recently completed another advanced course of the University of Florida, and can now boast that she is also a Master Naturalist. A transplanted, fourth generation Texan, Voisinet is quoted as saying these "are the people with whom I share common interests and a love of plants." Congratulations, Karen!
