Christmas Through the Eyes of Children

"Christmas Through the Eyes of Children"

St. Luke's Episcopal Church Annual Children's Christmas Sale will be Saturday, December 1, 2007, from 9:00 am until 12:00 noon. Established in 1983, after visiting her sister in New York, parishioner Evie DeLuca, brought the idea to St. Luke's. She approached the Episcopal Church Women's Club with the concept of " seeing Christmas through the eye's of children".

Parents leave their children at the door with a Santa's helper (a parishioner). Each child has a list of family names for which they would like to buy a gift. The gift items range in cost from .25 cents up to $5. After shopping, they stop by a table to have their presents wrapped and labeled -- ready to be put under the Christmas tree. While the children are in winter-wonder-land, the parents enjoy a hot cup of coffee and refreshments and a bake sale.

For the past 24 years, the Women of St. Luke's have had this special sale for children. One child has shopped with us for 13 years!

We invite children, age 14 and under, to come and continue with this wonderful tradition. We are located at 5150 Railway Avenue (corner of Cove and A1A) Port Salerno, Florida.
