Counting Down the Days until Christmas Jamboree!


Counting Down The Days until Toyota of Stuart's Christmas Jamboree in Port Salerno ~ Over 100 bikes will be given away.

Stuart -- Mark your calendar now for the 2nd annual Toyota of Stuart Christmas Jamboree on Saturday, December 22 from noon until 8:00 p.m. in Port Salerno on Dixie Highway (A1A) between Salerno Road and Seaward Street. This free family event has something for everyone so bring the family, kids, neighbors and visitors. Everyone will enjoy the beauty of the 60-foot lighted Christmas tree and the Christmas carolers on stage.

"This is the second year for this event which was a big hit last year with everyone in the neighborhood. Holiday traditions are an important part of every community and I know the Jamboree will be of them. We invite everyone in the area to attend this year's event which will be even bigger and better than last year," commented John Pierson, owner of Toyota of Stuart and event sponsor.

Beginning around 4 p.m. a mountain of snow will appear for the kids to play in and enjoy. Bring your cameras to capture the holiday memories! Santa and Mrs. Claus will be arriving at 4:30 p.m. on a fire truck courtesy of the Port Salerno Fire Department. Children will be able to visit Santa and share their wish list; every child will receive a goody bag and be entered in a bicycle giveaway. No doubt the highlight of the event will be the giveaway of over 100 bicycles courtesy of Toyota of Stuart and Walls Alive Paperhanging and Painting.

Children can also have their face painted, jump in the bounce house, try the bungee run or even try Sumo wrestling.

Last minute Christmas shoppers will enjoy browsing the crafters and vendors who will be selling handcrafted and crystal jewelry, hand knit and crocheted clothing, collectibles, painted ceramic tiles and other merchandise. Be sure to stop by the 92.7 WAVE booth and the Clear Channel booth for great giveaways and prizes. A DJ will spin Christmas songs and toe-tapping sounds will keep everyone's spirits high.

Lucie's Creative Crafters and Vendors are rounding up some of the best festival food to enjoy and there will be plenty of seating for eating. Specialties will include clam chowder, steamed clams and linguini with clam sauce, pizza by the slice, Italian sausage, Philly steaks, sweet potato and French fries, onion rings, barbeque and hot dogs. You can also enjoy Italian ice and ice cream specialties from a real ice cream truck.

The Port Salerno Community Promotions, Inc., a non-profit organization whose mission is to encourage business in Port Salerno and to improve the quality of life in this unique waterfront community, is producing the event.
