I'm proud to be an american
Contributed by: elizabeth fayhee on 6/30/2006

Yes, I am proud to be an american ..... because I can! I am proud of my heritage the founding families of 1776 who provided my ancestors me and my family americans long after I am gone with a written constitution of rights and responsibilites to be an american. I am proud if nothing else to be to free to life, liberity and the pursuit of happiness. boils down to me these days the right of free voice to hear and be heard.... anonymously authentically american.
It really doesn't matter who I am yet i'm proud of that as well. almost as proud who I can be.. in a world of meritocracy ,eminent domian, illegal immigration and the statue of liberty blinded by the light and whatever. I am still, proud to be an american because I can. And so can everyone my neighbors are a perfect example immigrants struggling to be free. So I pray to the my country tis of thee and ask God's grace because I can!
I can still Pray openly and silently to my god as I understand. I still thanks yes to newspapers, computer sites...etc can listen, learn and speak my one voice a conglomerate of those before me and me for my child's children and all of God's children: America is still the land of the free if you want it to be, I am proud and greatful for the righ and responsibility to be an american because I can thank you.
