"Celebrate" with Pink Tie Friends
Help Raise Funds for Uninsured and Underinsured Women with Breast Cancer

Stuart, FL-- Performers will dance and sing their way into your hearts by bringing to life the passion of the Pink Tie Friends, Inc. on Saturday, October 4 at 8 pm at The Lyric Theatre. Tickets for the performance, "Pink Tie Gala - Celebrate!" are $50 and may be purchased at the Lyric Theatre box office or on their website at www.lyrictheatre.com. For the fourth year Kristin Hoke, news anchor with WPBF News Channel 25 and a breast cancer survivor, will emcee the evening. For the second time Geoff Oldfather, a Scripps Treasure Newspaper columnist and radio talk show host, will join her as co-host.

The stage performance will be a joyful celebration of family, friends, fun and faith featuring some of the area's best performers. This year's gala is produced by Diane Furchess, with artistic direction by Jim Docter and music direction by Paul Morgan. The evening will feature pop, contemporary, gospel and inspirational music as well as Broadway favorites with a special appearance by Fabulous Feet dance company.

The SonShine Company, directed by Betty Saunders, will be premiering on stage for their first live performance. The SonShine Company is a group of young performers who will share their faith with a special Broadway flair.

Also on stage will be the calendar girls and guy from the 2009 calendar, which was recently published and is now available for purchase for $15. This year's calendar features photography by Mitch Kloorfain, photographer for The Hometown News, and graphic design by Mary Anne Seymour, of Schooner Graphics. The calendar is available for sale at the Martin Memorial Cancer Center, the office of Dr. James Vopal, the JaM Patch, Stuart/Martin County Chamber of Commerce, Borders Books and on the website at www.pinktiefriends.org.


Pink Tie Friends, Inc. is a not-for-profit 501 (c) 3 organization that raises funds to provide financial assistance for medical treatment for men and women diagnosed with breast cancer who are uninsured or underinsured. The organization is run by volunteers with no paid staff. Pink Tie Friends, Inc., was founded by the late Nancy O'Neill in 2005. O'Neill became inspired to help other women when she herself was receiving treatment for stage three breast cancer.

The vision of Pink Tie Friends, Inc. is "to grow in strength so no one has to go without treatment for breast cancer." Their mission is to provide financial support to individuals diagnosed with breast cancer that are underinsured and uninsured. Funds raised by Pink Friends are paid directly to providers for treatment.
