Producer signs on to revamp Poynter Award

Richard W. Spisak, senior producer, and president of Imagineering Productions, has agreed to revamp and "Re - Imagine" the annual Nelson Poynter Award Ceremonies. The Poynter Award, is named for former crusading editor and publisher of the St. Petersburg Times, Nelson Poynter, worked tirelessly to defend the Bill of Rights.

Richard was the creative force behind a wide range of innovative productions in South Florida from Audio Engineering Consultant for Luciano Pavarotti's first appearance at the James L. Knights Center, production design for Miami Beaches internationally reknown Art Deco festival to innovative staging concepts for the Grand Opening of the Courvoisier Center. He also was selected by Miami Dade County as site producer for Disney Comes to Miami, with simultaneous performances at Metro Zoo and the Cultural Plaza. He was tour manager for the Royal London Philharmonic's tour of South Florida for an Orange Bowl appearance and concerts. He has designed Laser Shows for Miami Beach, Monroe County and Toyota of Stuart, and produced two seasons for WTCN TV in Stuart.

Spisak, a multimedia artist whose work has been shown on five continents, comfortable and innovative in live event staging, laser, web, video and radio production, will bring a combination of creative design and what he calls his signature "Penny-Spectacular" to make sure this tightly-budget event is still a stunning Creative WOW of an awards ceremony.
