PR Firm Donates Red Cross Storm Busters Logo
Contributed by: Dorothy Kamm, Yates & Associates on 9/5/2008

STUART, Florida/September 5, 2008 - With the peak of the 2008 Hurricane Season here, Yates & Associates has created and donated a special Red Cross Storm Busters logo to assist the Red Cross in recruiting Shelter Volunteers. The logo will be used on a variety of materials, including tee-shirts, to recognize the special role Red Cross Storm Buster volunteers play in keeping our communities safe.

"Yates & Associates is pleased to create and donate the Red Cross Storm Busters logo as our way of lending assistance to the American Red Cross," said Sam Yates, president, Yates & Associates, Public Relations & Marketing. "Right now, the combined Chapters of the Greater Palm Beach, Martin, and NorthTreasureCoast need five hundred volunteers. We encourage residents throughout the region to become Red Cross Storm Busters by contacting their local Red Cross and signing up for free volunteer training," added Yates.

Each Chapter of the American Red Cross has special dates set aside for Storm Buster training. "With the number of hurricanes, tropical storms, and depressions now on the map, this is the perfect time to help your friends and neighbors by becoming a Red Cross volunteer," said Yates. "As we have seen with Tropical Storm Fay and a number of hurricanes over the past few years, the Red Cross is there immediately in the aftermath of a disaster. Now is the time for our residents to do their part in helping out by becoming Red Cross Storm Buster," concluded Yates.
