“HOT HAVANA NIGHTS” SPONSORS GET SPECIAL PERKS
Contributed by: Romina Colombo BB Jones Communications, Inc on 10/6/2009

Thousands of people fill the seats at BookMania! every year at the Blake Library in Stuart. Tickets to the annual authors event are free but seating is on a first come first served basis only. But now there is a solution for those readers who want to meet the authors and get a reserved seat at BookMania!.

On January 22, the authors will attend a fundraising event that is one of the best parties in town, "A Signature Event - Hot Havana Nights!". Here's a chance to experience a taste of Havana, without leaving the country. Proceeds from the evening will benefit the Library Foundation of Martin County, who underwrites the BookMania! event.

Sponsor opportunities for the cocktail party begin at $500 for a pair of tickets and a reserved seat at BookMania! This year, as an added perk, the sponsors will have a chance to meet the authors one on one, at a private reception half hour before the party begins at 5:30 p.m. The authors will sign books as well.

Other sponsorship levels are available at $1,000, $2,500 and The Pultizer Sponsor at $5,000. The top sponsor will enjoy a robust package of tickets and seats as well as a signed copy of the author's book and the opportunity to escort the author to the event. Authors frequently go out to dinner with the sponsors or escorts after the party. What a treat!

A partial, tentative list of literary geniuses coming to town are Steve Berry, whose new book The Paris Vendetta, will publish in December and James Rollins, author of Altar of Eden, also available in December. If you enjoyed reading or watching the movie Must Love Dogs, you won't want to miss author Claire Cook, who will be promoting her latest, The Wild Water Walking Club. Kaylie Jones, the daughter of the famed author James Jones (The Thin Red Line), will share secrets from her book, Lies My Mother Never Told Me: A Memoir. Tickets
for the event are $75 and may be purchased online at www.libraryfoundationmc.org or phone the Library Foundation of Martin County at 772-221-1409.
