The Martin County Elections Center will conduct voter registration drives throughout the county which will allow residents to demonstrate the new voting equipment and update their voter records. The voter drives are as follows:

• July 9 th Lost Lake HOA (Golf Club) 2 p.m. - 4 p.m.
• July 10 th Summerville Nursing Home 10 a.m.-12 p.m.
• July 11 th Seacoast National Bank (Hutchinson Island) 11a.m.-2p.m
• July 12 th Door to Door Voter Registration (Banner Lake) 9 a.m.-12 p.m.
• July 12 th St. Martin De Porres Catholic Church (Jensen Beach) 4 p.m. - 6 p.m.
• July 13 th St. Martin De Porres Catholic Church (Jensen Beach) 8a.m. - 12:30 p.m.
• July 13 th Democratic Club Picnic (Indian Riverside Park) 2 p.m.-6 p.m.
• July 14 th Sandhill Cove 11 a.m. -1 p.m.
• July 15 th Salerno Bay Manor 10 a.m.-12 p.m.
• July 17 th Parkway Health a Rehab Center 2 p.m. - 3 p.m.
• July 18 th Stuart Nursing and Restorative Care Center 2 p.m.-3 p.m.
• July 19 th Starbucks (Monterey Road) 8 a.m.-12 p.m.
• July 20 th First United Methodist Church (Hobe Sound) 9 a.m.-12:30 p.m.
• July 21 st Ocean Palms 10 a.m.-11:30 a.m.
• July 22 nd The Place at Stuart 10 a.m.-12:30 p.m.
• July 25 th Seacoast National Bank (Colorado) 10 a.m.-2 p.m.
• July 28 th Seacoast National Bank (Palm City) 11 a.m. - 2 p.m.

These drives will give citizens the opportunity to register to vote, change parties, request an absentee ballot, or update their address and signature on their voter record.

Books close Monday, July 28, 2008 for voters needing to make changes to their voter records.

Election Day for the Primary Election is August 26th. Early voting will begin August 11th - 23rd from 8:30 a.m. - 4:30 p.m. at all public libraries and the Elections Center (excluding the Blake and Cummings libraries).
