Spokespuppy Bob says thank you to Martin Memorial Laboratory and Pathology employees for collecting $500.00 worth of pet food for the Council on Aging of Martin County. Distributing pet food to the dogs and cats of low income seniors prevents them from sharing their Meals on Wheels food with their beloved companions.
Some faithful donors also contribute monthly to the Pet Fund of the Council on Aging. These donations help to provide pet food, and in some cases, veterinary care for the animals of older people in our community. Many of the seniors in our care live alone and their only companionship throughout the day is their beloved pet
. The Council also receives donations to the Pet Fund in memory of pets. These gifts are a wonderful way to pay tribute to our faithful four-legged friends and are a touching way to let their family know that you care.
Feeding seniors and pets in these tough times depends upon donations to the Council on Aging of Martin County. For more information on Council services, or to make a donation, please contact Bonnie Royster at 772-223-7831 or at
