Massage Therapist Extends "Five for Free"Pantry Program
Palm City, FL - A community outreach program that began inJuly to help stock the House of Hope's food pantry will continue throughOctober, announced Richard Hays, a licensed massage therapist specializing indeep tissue and relaxation. Hays picked up the torch in September from chiropracticphysician Dr. Kevin Grimes, who created the program, which raised 1,000 poundsof food for House of Hope.
Hays is offering one 30-minute massage for first-timeclients who donate five cans or boxes of food to House of Hope. Existingclients who want to participate will receive an extra 30 minutes for theirmassage. The program is limited to one session per customer and thoseinterested must call (772) 219-9171 to make an appointment. The program wasoriginally going to end in September but the response was so good that Haysdecided to extend it until the end of October. Hays' business, Tao Chi Massageand Skin Care, is located at 1051 S.E. Ocean Blvd. in Stuart.
"I feel good aboutextending the program to continue to help the House of Hope as well as clientswho will benefit from the health effects of massage," said Hays, who alsorecommends other businesses follow suit to help a worthy cause.
All collected foodwill be donated to House of Hope, which provides food, clothing, casemanagement and emergency financial assistance to people who work hard but findthemselves unable to make ends meet. Clients are typically low-wage serviceindustry workers, fixed-income senior citizens, single parents, the recentlyunemployed and people going through personal life crises.
