Founders of Treasure Coast Hospices Honored
Contributed by: Cynthia Warren on 11/11/2006

On November 1st Treasure Coast Hospices honored their Founders at the Mayes Center for Hope in Stuart. It was a lovely evening with many smiling faces. "We are truly honored to have the opportunity to recognize the Founders of the hospice movement in Martin and St. Lucie counties. Our Founders made it possible for patients and families to receive the comfort and care they needed." said Dr. Louis Benson, CEO of Treasure Coast Hospices.

A special award was presented to Pat Green and Tecla Shaw for their continued service as volunteers and to the Donald Harper Family, whose contributions brought the Harper Hospice House to the community.

A sincere thank you to our Founders: Wade Aycock, Cecelia Furey, Pat Green, Margerie G. Harrington, Carol Pendelton, Tecla Shaw, Agnes Anderson Weeks, and Leta Williams.
