It seems like yesterday, but forty years ago Saint Edward’s School opened its doors to 31 students in grades 5-8. Over the years, the School has grown to 935 students in grades PK – 12 and two campuses on 32 acres, including the Waxlax Center for the Performing Arts.
To celebrate this milestone, the School will honor the past and take a nostalgic trip down memory lane at the 40th Anniversary Celebration and Dinner at the Lower School campus, 2225 Club Drive on Friday, April 28th. Seating is limited and tickets will go on sale this month.
The next evening, Saturday, April 29th, Saint Edward’s will celebrate its largest fund raising event, Benefit 2006--
Wings of Achievement
at the Lower School campus. The School’s first Benefit dinner was held in March, 1967 at the Riomar Bay Yacht Club. Organized by Trustee Marylane MacMillan and Trustee wife Lucy Auxier, this landmark evening started one of Saint Edward’s most enduring traditions. The event will include dinner, dancing, and live and silent auctions. Tickets are available; please call (772) 231-5192.
