On August 22 nd from 10 am to 2pm, Florida Arts & Dance Company will be hosting an Open house and Costumes Sale at the FADC studios located at 57 SW Monterey Road in Stuart.
FADC is always striving for excellence and this year they have brought in a group of new talented instructors to ensure top quality dance education.
Lindsay Rybak will be our new Jazz instructor. Straight out of Manhattan, she recently graduated from Marymount Manhattan College in New York City with a Bachelors Degree of Fine Arts specializing in Dance. Her dance experience includes Jazz, Modern and Ballet. She has taught at the Ailey School in Manhattan as well as various studios in Palm Beach Gardens.
Steve Zimmerman will be the FADC's new Tap Instructor. Steve is originally from New York. He has a Bachelor Degree in Music Education and Fine Arts at Delaware State University. He continued his education at Ohio State University where he received his MA. and PhD in Fine Arts Education. Steve then went on to play percussions for the Broadway Show
The Tap Dance Kid where he later landed a lead role (Uncle Dempsey). His Broadway performance career also includes:
Black and Blue, Jelly's Last Jam, One O'clock Jump and Bring in the Noise Bring in the Funk. Steve was also a principal dancer in the Tri-Star Movie
TAP staring Gregory Hines and Sammy Davis Jr. Steve has opened shows for Luther Vandrous, Janet Jackson, Gladys Knight and the Pips and Gregory Hines.
Adam Schnell will be a Ballet Instructor and Guest Artist for performances. Adam brings to us a vast international performance and teaching experience. His professional performance experience includes: Les Ballets Trockadero de Monte Carlo, Sarasota Ballet, Nevada Ballet, Omaha Theater Ballet, and Channel Islands Ballet. He is working toward a Bachelors of Arts degree in Arts Management and Dance Education. We are thrilled to add a male teacher to our Ballet program to teach a Pas de Deux class. This will allow our students to experience partnering on a more regular basis.
Ella Yakubovich will be a Ballet Instructor. Ella is from Russia and has trained in the Vaganova Classical Ballet method. She has a Masters in Teaching of Choreographic Disciplines from the University of Art and Culture from the City of Perm in Russia. She has also received a Diploma with Honors in classical Ballet-Cecchetti Method from the Quinte Ballet School of Canada. Her teaching experience also includes Jazz, Pas de Deux, Modern, Variations, and Character.
