Stuart, FL --The Florida Sunshine Boys will be making their first appearance during the Sunshine Ball on Saturday October 24th at the Yacht and Country Club of Stuart. The fifth annual event will be cabaret-style with a skit, "The Half Monty" featuring local talent with choreography by Kim Sporl. According to Judy McKnelly, chair of the event, the "boys" have been rehearsing for their stage debut that is sure to be enthusiastically received. Performers include Walt Palmer, Chip Gray, Bob Massey, Joe Reese and Phil Powers.
The Florida Sunshine Boys also showed off their muscles for a calendar that can be purchased for $15 at the event. Bob Dobens donated his time for the photography.
The dinner and show will be followed by a "Funny Money" casino and dancing to The Entertainment Connection. Hollywood star, GW Bailey of "The Closer" will be attending the event. Only 150 fifty-dollar tickets will be sold for a chance to win a trip to Hollywood and to see the filming of popular TNT TV series "The Closer" starring Kyra Sedgewick.
Tickets for the evening are $125 and include dinner, one drink and $10 in casino money. The event is sponsored by Prudential Florida Realty. For tickets please contact Judy McKnelly at 772-285-6271.
The black tie event benefits the Sunshine Foundation whose sole purpose is answer the dreams of chronically ill, seriously ill, physically challenged and abused children ages three to eighteen, whose families cannot fulfill their requests due to the financial strain that the child's illness may cause.
