"HIGH STAKES AT THE SANDS"
Paws & Claws 2007 Unveiled
Dana & George Coates will co-chair event
PALM CITY - Reminiscent of the days of the "Rat Pack," the Humane Society of the Treasure Coast (HTSC) will host its biggest fundraiser of the year casino-style at the newly redesigned Harbour Ridge Country Clubhouse.
Dana and George Coates, owners of "Eventmakers International," will lend their expertise as co-chairs of the gala. "We've enjoyed having our business to use as a platform to participate with many organizations that raise money for worthy causes in the community," said Dana Coates. "And we're really looking forward to partnering with the Humane Society to produce an 'over-the-top' event."
David Miller, HSTC's executive director, recalled Dana's assistance in celebrating HSTC's 50 th anniversary:
Fabulous at 50 - Welcome to Howlywood, Paws & Claws 2005. "Dana rolled up her sleeves and put her 'tent magic' skills to work ... she came up with a plan to not only accommodate our goals but helped us to exceed them by executing every detail with creativity and professionalism," said Miller.
"We are also fortunate to have her as one of our board members," continued Miller. "Not only is she a successful business woman but she is also an inspirational leader in our community,"
Coates is the recent recipient of the 2006 Soroptomist International "Women of Distinction" Business Award. She is also one of the final seven nominees for the Event Planner of the Year awarded by Event Solutions at its annual conference in Denver, CO on August 23 rd.
"High Stakes at the Sands" will be held Sunday, February 18, 2007. Guests can look forward to gambling tables sporting titles such as, "You Spin-Animals Win," "Catch a Stray-Beat the Odds," "Your Dollars Mean New Collars," and "Heads you win-Tails you win!"
Coates invites the Treasure Coast to, "Come join the Coolest Cats at the Canine Casino!"
