Women Supporting the Arts Reception

For those who wanted to learn more about Women Supporting the Arts and as a thank you to WSA members, a reception was held on April 18 at the Snug Harbor home of Carol and Bob Baratta. Franny LaRue, owner of Gourmet Galaxy, served up the delicious party fare.

Members and guests heard about upcoming plans for Marybeth Pena's arts-related Health and Wellness program at Hibiscus Children's Center, Laura Daniel's mural painted at Palm City Elementary School, and Cristina de la Vega's International Artist in Residence.

Earlier this year, in its 4th cycle of funding through the Arts Foundation of Martin County, WSA awarded 18 grants, totaling more than $25,000, for arts-related programs, projects, scholarships and internships in Martin County.
