SEACOAST SUPPORTS FOOD FOR FAMILIES
Contributed by: Adrienne Moore on 10/22/2009

Seacoast National Bank has joined forces with WPTV Channel 5 as a sponsor for the 2009 Food For Families community food drive for a second year.

Non-perishable food donations can be dropped off at any Seacoast banking location in Martin and Palm Beach counties through November 20. Visit www.seacoastnational.com to find a Seacoast location nearest to you .

All of the food gathered in each county will remain in the county in which it is gathered through established non-profit organizations that distribute food to economically challenged families and individuals. Those wishing to make a cash donation can also deliver their contributions at the Seacoast location. Checks should be made payable to "Food for Families".

"The current economy is affecting people in our communities more than ever before," explained Dennis Hudson, Chairman and CEO of Seacoast National Bank. "And it is our hope that anyone who can help in this effort will take a few moments to remember those less fortunate with a donation."

Celebrating the drive's 25th anniversary this year, WPTV's Food For Families initiative has collected an average of 600,000 pounds of food per year over the last five years. More than 250 agencies in the five county market have participated in this effort.

The operating arm of Seacoast Banking Corporation of Florida (NASDAQ: SBCF), Seacoast National Bank has 40 offices in Florida and approximately $2.3 billion in assets, and is one of the largest independent banks headquartered in Florida.
