Soroptimist Christmas Parade Applications are Due!

The applications for the 49th Annual Soroptimist International of Stuart's Christmas Parade, "Christmas Under the Sea," are due October 31, 2009. The Parade will take place on Friday, December 4, 2009, at 7 p.m. Floats, marching groups and bands, motor cycles, mini-cars, decorated automobiles, animal marching groups, etc., are all encouraged to participate.

Five awards will be named in the following categories: Soroptimist Choice Award (the favorite float), Christmas Under the Sea Award (best rendition of theme for float 30-40 feet), Luminations/Musical Award (most amazing light or music for float 30-40 feet), and both the Christmas Under the Sea Award and the Luminations/Musical Award for floats under 30. Float sizes include the towing vehicle and cannot be longer than 40 feet long and 10 feet high. The Release & Settlement Agreement form, proof of liability insurance and a $50 entry fee must accompany the entry form.
