Girl Scouts have a lot of heart for United Way
Contributed by: Diane Tomasik on 1/25/2007

United Way of Martin County loves the Girls Scouts of Palm Glades Council.

Each January, most of the nearly 1,000 area Girl Scouts make valentines as a community service project. The valentines are then sent as thank-you notes to key donors and volunteers who help United Way and the Girl Scouts throughout the year.

The Girls Scouts of Palm Glades Council's comprehensive youth development program is one of the 38 local programs supported by United Way of Martin County.

"We applaud the efforts of the scouts, their parents and troop leaders, and the coordination of Sherry Roberts, the Martin County volunteer service unit manager for the Girl Scouts of Palm Glades," said Lucy Corley, director of development for United Way.
