A wide variety of nonprofit organizations have put out the call for volunteers who like to greet people and help out around the office.
Martin Volunteers is helping several agencies find volunteer receptionist and clerical help to serve their many causes and clients.
Shifts and days are flexible, and the tasks include receptionist or information desk duty, directing visitors, answering phones, making calls, light typing, data entry, filing and copying,
Organizations include the American Heart Association, Habitat for Humanity, the Historical Society of Martin County, Martin County Convention and Visitors Bureau, Martin County Administrative Center, the State Attorney's Office and the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers Visitors Center.

The public may also learn about volunteer opportunities at "Tuesdays with Martin Volunteers," each Tuesday at 10 a.m. at the United Way offices, 50 Kindred Street, Suite 207, Stuart.
Martin Volunteers, a program of United Way of Martin County, connects people with opportunities to serve in Martin County. Martin Volunteers also runs several well-known projects, such as the White Doves Holiday Project and the Retired and Senior Volunteer Program.
