Club Change of Martin County performed light landscaping at The Place (an assisted living facility for the elderly) on Saturday, June 27. The entrance to the facility was beautified by laying down and spreading mulch around surrounding shrub and trees. The work of the volunteers was greatly appreciated. It was hot and hard work but everyone was satisfied that they made a positive impact with the elderly who live in this complexClub CHANGE is focused on community service as a means to unite all Americans. We use service events as a means to provide the citizens of Martin County an opportunity to volunteer their time. The result are Americans who are united and making a positive impact in the lives of other Americans through actions of service, compassion, and kindness..
Volunteers who participate in the National Health Care Day of Service will be stronger advocates for health care reform. Volunteer projects directly expose participants to the reality of our country's health care system and the millions of people who it is currently failing.
