Stuart, FL - What a great year for Molly's Gallery. Twenty six artists exhibited throughout the three story Victorian "Home Away from Home" while 1200 guests enjoyed meeting and greeting the artist and touring the exhibits. When the Gallery closed for renovations this summer, Executive Director Louise Murtaugh solicited the help of the Home Depot TEam to help patch and paint the interior of the Gallery.
Home Depot team of employees provided the man power several times throughout the summer to help get the gallery walls ready for the new season which begins in November. "The gallery is such a wonderful place for the community to see local artists and their works", stated Pearl from Home Depot and "what Molly's House does for those families in need, we just couldn't say no". With brushes in hand, members of the Home Depot Team worked diligently to complete the painting.
"Without the help of Home Depot Team, we could not have afforded to paint and patch this summer", stated Louise Murtaugh. "Our Board members and families are so grateful for all the support Home Depot has provided to us over the years".
While Home Depot team members were busy with the renovations, the staff was busy working on securing a grant for a new art hanging system that will arrive just in time for the November opening Reception, November 5, 5:30 - 7 p.m. "The system will be permanently mounted and will eliminate the need for patching and painting the gallery areas in the future. The system will also make it easier for the artists to hang their artwork throughout the gallery", stated Louise Murtaugh.
Molly's House is a hospitality house that provides temporary lodging for patients and their families receiving medical care on the Treasure Coast. For more information visit the website at www.mollyshouse.org.
