The South Fork is a 6.5 mile tour thru a brackish oak hammock. This trip begins at our shop on the South Fork of the St Lucie River and heads 3.2 miles south to a small picnic area with hiking trails (1 mi. loop) available. The water is tidal and SLOW moving. Turtles,manatees,gators,otters,osprey,herons,racoon,hogs and other wildlife are often seen as well as natural foliage thickening with our decent south. This trip is 4hrs long with a break in the middle to rest or hike. Hope to see you on the South Fork!
