Haley & Ashley's parents Mark & Julie Hall are concerned about the safety of their daughters while on the water so they insist that the girls WEAR IT.
WEAR IT is the Coast Guard Auxiliary boating safety theme because
LIFE JACKETS SAVE LIVES.
This recent picture was taken at Sandsprit Park just before this beautiful family got underway for a day cruise down the ICW. The Park was extremely busy but many boaters were paying attention to the girls. I wonder why?
The local Coast Guard Auxiliary was at the Park on Saturday & Sunday, 5/10 & 11 providing FREE vessel safety checks and supporting the Coast Guard at their Boating Advisory Trailer Public Awareness Kit (BATPAK) designed to teach everyone who participates that responsible boating is easy and fun.
The US Coast Guard Auxiliary is composed of 35,000 uniformed, non-military volunteers who assist the Coast Guard in all of its missions except for military and direct law enforcement. These men and women are found in class rooms teaching boater safety, on the waterways and in the air performing search and rescue missions and safety patrols, and on land visiting marinas and performing vessel safety checks.
When you see them out on the water give them a big wave. They are out there to help you.
