COAST GUARD AUXILIARY ANNOUNCES BOATER SAFETY PROGRAM

Coast Guard Auxiliary Flotilla 59 is offering an 8 hour Boater Safety course beginning Monday, March 6, at its operation center in Sandsprit Park on St Lucie Blvd., Stuart. Registration is at 6:30.

This Coast Guard approved training which is taught by senior Auxiliarists, runs two hours a night on consecutive Mondays and Thursdays until March 16.

The investment in this valuable program which covers many facets of safe boating is only $39.00 and covers the cost of materials.  The free instruction is provided by The Flotilla as a public service.  Most insurance companies offer a discount for completing this training.

For more information contact Public Education Officer Rich Johnson at 772-873-8893 or Flotilla Commander Greg Gollhofer at 772-287-1702.

For over 60 years, tens of thousands of men and women of The Auxiliary have spent millions of volunteer hours helping the Coast Guard carry out its missions.  For more information on America’s Volunteer Lifesavers, visit our web site at www.cgaux.org.
