COAST GUARD AUXILIARY ANNOUNCES BOATER SAFETY PROGRAM
Coast Guard Auxiliary Flotilla 59 is offering an 8 hour Boater Safety course beginning Monday, March 6, at its operation center in Sandsprit Park on St Lucie Blvd., Stuart. Registration is at 6:30.
This Coast Guard approved training which is taught by senior Auxiliarists, runs two hours a night on consecutive Mondays and Thursdays until March 16.
The investment in this valuable program which covers many facets of safe boating is only $39.00 and covers the cost of materials.
The free instruction is provided by The Flotilla as a public service.
Most insurance companies offer a discount for completing this training.
For more information contact Public Education Officer Rich Johnson at 772-873-8893 or Flotilla Commander Greg Gollhofer at 772-287-1702.
For over 60 years, tens of thousands of men and women of The Auxiliary have spent millions of volunteer hours helping the Coast Guard carry out its missions.
