Chyna is an absolutlely adorable little girl around 7 months of age as of October 2009. She was left abandoned in a crate with no food or water. She certainly doesn't feel any animosity toward people, though, as she is overly happy to greet any new friend! Chyna is fairly active, as she still is an "adolescent" girl, but also loves to snuggle up with a favorite person on a soft, fluffy couch!
Oreo is an appropximately 2 to 3 year old American Pit Bull Terrier that was rescued from extreme abuse. He does not have any physical scars on him, so we can only guess that he was left outside with very limited human contact, and it was not positive contact. Oreo is very frightened, but really wants to interact with people who care about him. He is making good strides in his progress with trusting people again, even though he has only been with us a short time (since Sept. 2nd). Oreo is best suited to an adult only home with quiet, patient people that want to open their heart and home to this sweet boy. He was fostered temporarily right before he came to our shelter. The foster family said Oreo felt comfortable with their other dog, and it seemed to help him feel people were OK too, since the fosters' other dog is very friendly with humans.
For more information on Chyna and Oreo, please call 561-747-1598 ext. 4.
