Waterways Gallery Benefit for Humane Society of the Treasure Coast
A "petpourri" of original art by Waterways' artists along with "Pet Portraits" created by 3 rd, 4 th and 5 th graders will be on display at the gallery, with a kick-off reception on Thursday, January 24 from 5 to 8 p.m. Proceeds from a silent auction for the artwork will be donated to the Humane Society of the Treasure Coast.
Students' artwork from local schools will be judged by locally renowned artist Robin Makowski and the winners from each school will be up for "adoption" at the gallery. Fabulous paintings and sculptures of dogs and cats by Waterways' members will also be looking for new homes.
The winning students will receive comprehensive art packages to have the tools to continue their art exploration and creativity, courtesy of Rex Sentell, DVM of Palm City Animal Clinic and "Snips & Snoozes." Other sponsors of the prizes are JayMar and Friendly Framer.
Also available for bid is a family and pet photo donated by Diane Dultmeier Photography; a pet portrait painting by Gabby DuCharme; and a silver cat necklace with fresh water pearls by Susan Somerset Webb.
Please join the artists and therapy pets from the Humane Society of the Treasure Coast to enjoy the animal artwork, along with wine and snacks (courtesy of Brickwall Grille), all free and open to the public.
