Guest & Gallery Artists Display Everything Ocean @ Waterways Gallery

Two new exhibits will be on display and featured at a reception from 5-8 p.m. on Thursday, February 7 at Waterways Gallery. Enjoy free food, wine, live music from the "Rowdy Micks" and a look at fresh, new artwork, all related to our Treasure Coast waters.

First, guest artist of the month, Susan Roberts will show a collection of her paintings of underwater scenes. Known as the "Turtle Lady," Susan made the move from Chicago to the Bahamas where she met her (now) husband. The crystal waters became her new home and its teeming tropical life her new canvas.

Her work is in private collections both stateside and abroad. Many of her original pieces are spoken for before they are even completed, and each one is truly a labor of love. Her fascination of the underwater world is as clear as the blue waters,and her love of the wildlife that inhabit them resonates with each painting.

Also on display will be original works by Waterways' artists that will be donated to the Florida Oceanographic Society (FOS) for silent auction at its annual Swashbuckler'sBall. Breathtaking paintings and photographs have been created to help raise money for FOS projects to save our local waterways.
