Exceptional Childrens Photography

Diane Dultmeier, of Dultmeier Photography in Stuart, received an Honorable Mention for an exceptional photographic image in the Color category of the Miller's Professional Imaging 2006 Baby and Child Portrait Contest. This was a national contest with more than 3,000 entries submitted by professional photographers located all around the country.

In addition to the award received by Diane, the lab presented a check in the amount of $500 to Jill and Jeff Johnson of Hobe Sound the parents of Gracie, Eric and Adam, who were featured in the winning image. The image was created at Stuart's Chastain Beach and features the three Johnson children in a natural pose sitting on the sand.

"Winning the contest was amazing!" said Jill Johnson. "We absolutely love the pictures. Diane was very easy to work with and made everyone feel comfortable. It was a great experience!" The family has a 16x20 Canvas Portrait of the same image at home on their wall. They had chosen that image as their favorite, even before it was a winner in the contest.

According to officials from Miller's Professional Imaging, which is the nation's largest professional portrait and wedding lab, images submitted to this contest represent the finest in children's photography. This winning image represents one of the best among the best.

Each year the lab sponsors the Baby and Child Portrait Contest during the months of January through May. Next year the photographer plans to combine the lab's contest with a local contest sponsored by Dultmeier Photography. In addition, Dultmeier Photography plans to create a 2008 calendar featuring images of babies and children photographed by Dultmeier in the months of January through May 2007. More information will be announced as January approaches.
