Contributed by: melissa cleveland on 12/21/2007

Willie Gary hosted the 8 th Annual Kidz Carnival in Memorial Parkand thousands turned out for the event. Children played games, rode carnival rides, had their faces painted, ate hotdogs and visited with Santa Claus. Every boy and girl left with a toy of his or her choice, compliments of attorney Willie Gary, the Gary Foundation and local sponsors.

Youth organizations from Martin, Indian River, Okeechobee, St. Lucie and Palm Beach Counties were invited to attend, as well as anyone in need of some holiday cheer. Many Kids played in snow for the first time at the grand entrance, where they were met by Sponge Bob, Dora the Explorer, and other characters. Radio personality Reggie "D" from X102.3 radio in West Palm Beach played music and entertained the crowd while kids rode on the tea cups, pirate's ship and other carnival rides.

"The Kidz Carnival is my favorite event every year. I love to see children come out to enjoy the toys, and the parents have a great time too," said Gary. "The holiday season is about giving and enjoying time with your family. That is what this event is all about."
