There are many ways to enjoy the scenery in our area. This beautiful boat, the
"Chanticleer",
was once owned by our fabled patroness, Frances Langford. You can still see it docked in the old Outrigger Harbour Marina on North Sewall's Point Road. Drive by to catch a glimpse ofthis elegant old yacht and note the changes being made around it. The land is being developed for some chi-chi condos. Luckily, the nearbyIndian Riverside Park is the perfect spot for intimate weddings, dog walking, New Year's fireworks and child's play. There is excitement in the Park as the Children's Museum is being planned, and the old Leach Mansion is being transformed to its former glory by the Friends of Mount Elizabeth. It is another beautiful setting in our small world on the water. Slow down, enjoy the view, take the dog for a stroll and contemplate the future. And if you are very lucky, maybe you will spy one of Frances Langford's peacocks!
"The rebellion is against time pollution, the feeling that the essence of what makes life worth living - the small moments, the special family getaways, the cookies in the oven, the weekend drives, the long dreamlike summers."

Another beautiful painting. It is such a beautiful area - it is ashame that all these condos are going to block the view of the river - at least we still have the park.

This is a five-star picture and comment. In fact, all of Jean's scenes are five-star. YourHub is fortunate to have this person submitting her work.
