Tucked away in a corner of an unassuming strip mall in south Stuart, is a restaurant called Sunny G's. The owners, Folker and Jayne Raynolds, also have a wonderful catering company, Silver Palate Entrees, which, in addition to providing party fare, can spoil you with cooked and home-delivered gourmet quality meals. As if this isn't enough to keep two dyed-in-the-wool foodies busy, they are introducing Cooking Classes later this month, which will be held at Sunny G's. Folker Raynolds has some pretty heavy-duty credentials: he's a graduate of the prestigious Culinary Institute of America in Hyde Park, New York and was a corporate chef. But the Raynolds' recognized a need in the community for someone to teach not only basic skills, but how to prepare healthier, nutritious and delicious meals.

So, beginning the week of August 21, there will be three different types of classes offered:

Mondays from 10 a.m.-1 p.m., you'll polish your kitchen skills and techniques while cooking five delicious meals to take home. All the ingredients are included, and the price is only $75!

There will also be a basic, informative class offered on Wednesdays from 6 p.m.-8 p.m. and Thursdays from 10 a.m.- 2 p.m. This is $50 per class.

And the kids aren't being ignored! What fun to learn to crack eggs, flip omelets and make a delicious breakfast to wow your parents and family. Offered twice a week - Wednesdays from 3:30 p.m.- 5:30 p.m. and Saturdays from 9:30 a.m. - 11:30 a.m. - for only $50 a class. You might discover a budding chef under your roof!
