Scott Fletcher named Marina Manager of Harborage Yacht Club & Marina

Scott Fletcher has joined Harborage Yacht Club and Marina as marina manger, bringing nearlytwo decades of marine experience to Stuart's largest full-service marina.

As manager of the 300-slip marina, Fletcher is responsible for marina operations, including budgeting and financial management, adherence to Florida Department of Environmental Protection Clean Marina standards, hiring, staff development, and assisting in the sales of yacht slip memberships.

He completed advanced marina management courses through the International Marine Institute and holds a United States Coast Guard 100 Ton Captain License. He has captained vessels throughout the entire U.S. Eastern Seaboard from Maine to Key West, including all of the Bahamas.

"Fletcher's vast knowledge of the marine industry made him a prime candidate for the marina manager position," said Gary Guertin, general manager of Harborage Yacht Club and Marina. "His commitment to excellence and customer service sealed the deal."

Before joining Harborage, Fletcher was the service manager and a captain at both Damsel Marine Services and Baia Yachts North America, which are located in Stuart. He was also general manager of Herrington Harbour Marina Resort in Rosenhaven, Maryland, one of the busiest transient marinas on the Chesapeake Bay.

Named the National Marina of the Year in 2008, Harborage Yacht Club & Marina offers direct access to the Intracoastal Waterway, Lake Okeechobee and the Atlantic Ocean. The marina is capable of accommodating vessels from 30-feet. Dockage is available by the day, week, month, season, annual basis, or for purchase. Amenities and services include metered dockside power, water, cable, Internet, shower and restroom facilities, Ship's Store, gasoline and diesel fueling (VALVTECT Marine Fuel), and pump-out facilities.
