Bayview Construction wins Aurora Award for Courtyard by Marriott Stuart

Stuart, Fla. (August 9, 2009) - Competing against quality builders from across the Southeast United States, Stuart-based Bayview Construction Corporation was chosen as an Aurora Award winner (Commercial Project-Hotel or Conference Facility) by the Southeast Building Conference (SEBC) for the Courtyard by Marriott Stuart in Stuart, Florida.

The nationally recognized Aurora Awards honor builders, planners, architects, developers, designers, interior merchandisers and other construction-related professionals within a 12-state region stretching from Texas to Virginia. Jim Hill, vice president of Bayview Construction, accepted the award during the SEBC awards ceremony held at the Rosen Centre Hotel in Orlando on August 1.

Owned by Stuart Lodgings, LLC, and operated and managed by Waterford Hotel Group, Inc., the Courtyard by Marriott Stuart is one of the first to feature the latest prototype design for the hotel brand. The 70,000 square feet, four-story hotel with 120 guestrooms opened in January 2009 and is located at 7616 S.W. Lost River Road on 6 acres, with visibility from both Interstate 95 and Florida's Turnpike.
